Health Care

A significant portion of Sullivan & Company's time and talent is focused on the health-care industry.  As a highly regulated industry, dependent on cost-based third-party reimbursement, our health-care clients are serviced by individuals who possess a high level of technical proficiency in their field.  We begin to train our staff when they enter our firm in the technical requirements and complexities of the industry.  This enables them to provide the best possible service to our clients.

Our clients are health-care providers, including nursing facilities, retirement centers, assisted-living facilities, community health-care centers, residential programs for the developmentally disabled, and home-health agencies.  Many of these institutions have a not-for-profit mission and are tax exempt health-care providers.

We consider ourselves to be information resources to our health-care clients.  We conduct seminars and training programs as major policy and reimbursement issues arise, and we provide updates on minor policy changes.

We have a long-standing tradition of lending our support and expertise to the trade associations that represent the health care industry.  We have assisted these associations in developing a database to monitor industry trends, assisted in negotiations with the State of Rhode Island and testified at public hearings on issues affecting the reimbursement of nursing facilities.

Our health care department is devoted to ensuring that our clients receive individualized service and are provided with the best possible advice and support so that they may realize their goals.  Our staff is dedicated and has unsurpassed expertise.  We believe these qualities and our commitment to our clients is what distinguishes our firm from others in the industry.
